I didn't think I was a huge fan of red flowers. That was until we met these crimson-coloured Red Rocket Snapdragons. Taking us totally by surprise, these beauties delivered beyond our expectations in the field. They last a long time in the vase and the scent is sooo sweet. They are especially dramatic on their own in a bouquet, but they also play nicely with others adding a strong architectural spike to a mixed arrangement.
UPDATE: As a side note, Benjamin Moore paint recently announced its Color of the Year, Caliente AF-290, and describes it as "strong, radiant and full of energy." They could have called it Red Rocket. Seems my love for this tone is very on-trend.
"Caliente is the signature color of a modern architectural masterpiece; a lush carpet rolled out for a grand arrival; the assured backdrop for a book-lined library; a powerful first impression on a glossy front door. The eye can’t help but follow its bold strokes. Harness the vitality.” Ellen O'Neill, Benjamin Moore & Co.

The Caliente-hued snaps became the star of this mid-summer display we made for Cafe Belong. Test your flower knowledge and see if you can identify the other blooms in this arrangement.
